Jonathan Hsu
Founder
Jonathan Hsu is a Producer, Line Producer, Magician and Founder of Hsubox Productions Inc.
For over a decade, he has produced hundreds of commercials, social content, and films.
His commercials have gone on to win over 20 Cannes Lions and multiple hits on Adage.
He actively also produces features including horror favorite A WOUNDED FAWN and his award winning 2024 hybrid doc STARRING JERRY AS HIMSELF which won awards for both BEST NARRATIVE AND BEST DOCUMENTARY at multiple festivals including Slamdance, LAAPFF, San Diego AAFF, ReelAsian Toronto, DisOrient, CAAMFEST, Thessaloniki, Cinema Jove, and Busan Film Festival.
He also produced the Oscar qualified short film CLOSING DYNASTY for Lloyd Lee Choi which premiered and won the Crystal Bear at Berlinale Best Short Film in the Kplus Generation category. It won the Audience Award at it’s US premiere at SXSW. It was also Best Short film for Palm Springs Int’l Film Festival, Grand Jury AFI Fest, and Grand Jury Hawaii Int’l Film Festival.
Jonathan is a GoldHouse Future Film Fellow, a fellow with Film Independent, an alum of the Future Gold Fellowship, an active member in the A-Doc community, IDA, The Gotham, and the NYC Co-Regional chair for the DPA.
For fun, he is also a practicing magician @jonnythemagician who loves to perform for his clients and crew on set. He can be found in video village shuffling a deck of cards right before the martini shot.
Peter Mamontoff
Junior Producer
Peter Mamontoff is a junior producer with HsuBox Productions.
Peter got his B.A. specializing in video and animation from the University of South Florida. Over the last few years he has worked on an array of projects from commercials, shorts and feature films.
He has worked on commercials with AARP, Apple, Jollibee, Dunkin’, Pepsi Co, TUI, and Red Wing.
In his free time he pursues screenwriting, sound design and video journalism.
